Theft of Motor Vehicle - Central Avenue, Waltham Cross

Dear Resident

Between 19:50 hours on Monday 16th June 2025 and 08:52 hours on Tuesday 17th June 2025 a theft of a vehicle occurred in Central Avenue, Waltham Cross.

Offender (s) have approached the black, Mercedes, E300D that was parked locked and secured at the location. They have removed the vehicle from the location using unknown means and have left in an unknown direction.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox.

If you have a keyless entry car use a signal blocking bag.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.
